Also known as the "Superb Fairy Wren", this little bird is common throughout most of eastern Australia. They usually travel either in pairs or larger family groups consisting of a mature blue male, several females and some immature males that look a lot like the ladies.
With the help of the additional family members, a blue wren couple can raise several broods per season with all family members bringing food to the young.
