These endearing marsupials spend most of their time asleep in the boughs of eucalyptus trees. The rest of their time is spent mainly on eating the leaves from the eucalyptus trees that they shelter in. The leaves are toxic to most other animals and only provide a minimum amount of energy for the koala’s which may be a contributing factor to the koala’s sedentary lifestyle.
