These large white cockatoo’s have a large yellow crest that they frequently raise when communicating or are alarmed. These cockatoos are common throughout Australia including Tasmania. These birds are often found in large flocks and are difficult to approach as they always position lookouts on high points to provide early warning for the birds feeding on the ground.
