Female Superb Fairy Wren on a Tasmanian manfern frond. Although the male has a brilliant blue plumage, the female has a more subdued coloration that I think is just as endearing. These bouncy little birds exist in large family groups that consist of one or two blue adult males, a main female and numerous brown coloured juveniles.
